A long time ago, I bought a poorly R5. It had no PSU, and it worked, but two of the jacks were broken.
That’s when I discovered that R5/R8 Psus are unique, +/- 10V, and very expensive.
So when a DEAD R8 turned up, with a PSU, I bought it.
And they sat behind the cupboard for a year, forgotten while I got involved in web development..
Until now. I finally transplanted the jacks from the R8 into the R5, and off we went.
Sold last week on eBay for £100..
